Fire In Disneyland Parking Structure Injures Seven And Destroys Four Cars
A fire that broke out in the Mickey & Friends parking structure at Disneyland injured seven people and destroyed four cars. The fire occurred on Monday at 4:37 p.m. on the second floor of the six-story structure, City News Service reports. Those within the structure were evacuated and firefighters were able to put out the blaze in about a half hour.
Seven Disneyland employees were treated for smoke inhalation, the OC Register reports. Three of those employees elected not to go to a hospital.
Four cars were totally destroyed, while another four sustained significant damage. In total, damages are estimated at about $180,000. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, but there is nothing to suggest foul play at this time.
Those parked in the structure were unable to get to their cars until about 7 p.m. One park visitor told KTLA that the smoke could be seen from the park.
