Video: Atoms For Peace Played A Small, Surprise Show Last Night
Atoms For Peace will start touring in July, but they've been practicing plenty already (have you seen the amazing Thom Yorke mic cam?), and last night they took their rehearsal out into the public eye at a "secret" show in LA. No one could buy tickets to the intimate concert, which was listed as happening at an undisclosed location referred to as "Club Amok" (this turned out to be Cafe Club Fais Do-Do), but the die-hards got tickets through radio stations and record stores.
The band—consisting of Yorke, Flea, Joey Waronker, Mauro Refosco and Nigel Godrich—had announced details for entry into the show on their website, noting: "Select indie record stores in the LA area will be giving away tickets with purchase of Amok (while supplies last!)... further show information will be revealed upon receiving your ticket."
According to Reddit, they performed a 20 song set with two encores, which you can enjoy some of through these videos (and requisite Vine of Thom dancing):
Atoms for Peace
Stuck Together Pieces
Before Your Very Eyes
The Hollow Earth
Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses
The Present Tense (Thom solo)
Rabbit in Your Headlights (FULL BAND)
