Tonight In Rock: O.A.R., Jon Brion, Animal Collective, Department of Eagles

Department of Eagles will be playing tonight at the Troubadour | Photo via Department of Eagles' Myspace
Our Pick: Department of Eagles, The Cave Singers @ Troubadour (Sold-Out)
Tonight Maryland-based jam band O.A.R. will be performing at Club Nokia in Downtown. Local producer/musician extraordinaire Jon Brion (LAist Review) is set to pal around with his musical cronies at Largo at the Coronet. Baltimore-based avant-gardists Animal Collective (LAist Review) are headlining a sold-out show at the Henry Fonda Music Box. (Canceled due to a band member's illness!) Memphis' own prolific punk rocker Jay Reatard will be coming through the Echo. But we strongly suggest figuring out a way into the Troubadour, where Department of Eagles are slated play to a sold-out house. Seattle-based folk maestros the Cave Singers will be kicking off the show.
