Tonight In Rock: Jamie Lidell, Rogue Wave, His Name Is Alive, Emily Wells

His Name Is Alive will be performing tonight at the Bootleg Theater | Picture via His Name Is Alive's Myspace
Our Pick: His Name Is Alive, Pepper Rabbit, Arrows @ Bootleg Theater
Tonight English retro-soul singer-songwriter Jamie Lidell will be performing to a sold-out crowd at the Troubadour. Oakland-based indie rockers Rogue Wave are poised to take on the El Rey Theatre, ringing in their latest endeavor—2010's Permalight. And, lastly, local classical-violinist-turned-singer-songwriter Emily Wells will be gracing Largo at the Coronet. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Bootleg Theater to catch one of Michigan's finest acts, experimental rockers His Name Is Alive. Silver Lake-based indie pop act Pepper Rabbit are slated to kick things off.

At the same time, it’s never been more difficult to maintain a paywall-free, independent news source that informs, inspires, and engages everyone.

LAist has been there for you and we’re asking you to be here for us.
We rely on donations from readers like you to stay independent, which keeps our nonprofit newsroom strong and accountable to you.
No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, press freedom is at the core of keeping our nation free and fair.
