Tonight, we could've been going to see Liz Phair at the Troub but we'll be bar crawling in Santa Monica and Venice instead. We thought we were too old for the crawl but someone else's birthday wishes suggest we're not.
Tomorrow is the Project Surf vs. Skate art exhibit at the Project: Studio in on Venice in LA featuring a ton of artists and a few photographers. The show runs til September 3rd but the opening reception starts at 8pm.
If music and good causes are more your speed, Lawndale's Environmental Charter School is seeking to raise some money to get some technology in their classrooms with a benefit concert at the Skirball Cultural Center. Revolutionary Side Effects, Big Organ Trio and a guest DJ will be performing at 7pm and tickets are $20. Come out and support if you can.

And, of course, all weekend long is the Tofu Festival. Sunday night features a performance by Ozomatli. And, yeah, we know its tofu but the food there is always divine.
