If getting locked in an escape room or touring American Horror Story's Murder House aren't enough to creep you out, and you just can't wait until Halloween to get your freak on, we've got great, spooky news for you. The Great Horror Campout is returning on June 5-6 with tons of new craziness designed to scare the living daylights out of you. The 12-hour overnight camping experience in Griffith Park brings all of your worst nightmares and favorite horror movies to life for a terrifying, choose-your-own-adventure thriller. The event takes place from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. with tons of crazy challenges, a multi-game scavenger hunt and countless grotesque, lurking creatures that can actually grab you. Seriously. You have to sign a waiver that says you're okay with being "handled, moved, bound, hooded and chained" by the actors. Though should you find yourself getting too wet-your-pants scared you can always use the safe phrase, "I want my mommy", and the creatures will back off.

This is not your average haunted house.

Campers can rent either a four-person or a two-person tent, but trust us: you probably won't be sleeping very much as there are more than just bumps at the night at the event. Depending on how much creep you can handle, there will be two different levels of horror experience: the low-key horror experience, which includes horror movies, ghost stories and a "safe zone", or the very extreme, more immersive version.

Unlike last year's event, which toured other cities as well, for this third installment, the twisted minds behind the campout have focused all of their horrifying energy on this one event in Los Angeles.

In addition to many of the activities from last year, like the "Hellhunt" scavenger games, this year there are lots of eerie bonus features and new games that play on your deepest fears. Each camper will be assigned a horror movie trope—think "Nerd", "Cheerleader" or "Jock"—each with its own special skill that can help you throughout the night. You'll also be able to team up with other campers to tackle the insane challenges. And the campground will be divided up into separate, themed zones, including "fear of death", "fear of blood", and "fear of monsters". Fun!

Tickets might sell out, so if you think you've got what it takes, don't hide under the covers and miss out on the freaky fun.
