The Airborne Toxic Event @ Cal State Fullerton, 5/7/08

Last Wednesday, local band The Airborne Toxic Event (MySpace) performed at Becker Amphitheatre on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.
Even before their now-legendary January residency at Spaceland (MySpace), the band has enjoyed an astonishing surge of popularity -- performing at SXSW, Rockcycle, and a secret show during the Radars To The Sky (MySpace) residency at The Echo (MySpace) -- which culminated with their signing to Majordomo Records as well as an appearance on Last Call With Carson Daly.
Not bad for a band that not too long ago was fond of describing themselves as "an unsigned band from Los Angeles."

As for upcoming local shows, there have been no official announcements yet, but their debut album is tentatively scheduled to street in August.
