Pets of the Week: Georgina and Vixen

Before you
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your tax-deductible financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

Georgina is an amazing girl who knows all sorts of tricks. She knows how to sit, down, shake, high five, bang-play-dead, crawl, sit up, roll over, and leave it. She is great on a leash and loves to go for daily walks. She appears to be house-trained and crate-trained. Georgina needs someone who will open their heart and home to a 7 year old Pit Bull with endless love to give.

Georgina is eligible for Underdog Rewards, which offers a discounted adoption rate. Her adoption fee includes spay surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and a certificate for a free health exam at a participating veterinary hospital. If you would like to meet Georgina, she is available at the spcaLA P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village & Education Center. Vixen enjoys playing with toys and with her foster brother. She loves her scratching post and is teaching her brother to use it instead of the bed. She's a very smart little girl! Her coat is unusual, not really grey but black-tipped hair over a soft white undercoat giving her a smoky look. She adores being brushed. She makes feline friends quickly but takes her time with two-legged ones. Once she trusts you, she'll be climbing into your bed at night, rubbing up against you, and chatting the day away. She would love to be with another cat or cats or younger people with lots of energy to play with her.

To meet Vixen, contact Much Love Animal Rescue. Much Love’s adoptable pets live in foster homes during the week and come to mobile adoptions on Sundays at 2515 Main Street in Santa Monica.
