FRIDAY

• Melt Banana makes an appearance tonight at the Troubadour, along with Das Oath and Toxic Shock & The Flaming Tampons at 8 PM. Tickets are $12.

• Architecture in Helsinki will be giving a free in-store performance at Amoeba Music at 7 PM.

Support for LAist comes from

• The Books and Mia Doi Todd are at the Knitting Factory tonight at 8 PM. Tickets are $12 advance, $14 at the door.

• At The Fold at El Cid, hard-reading headbangers Bloodhag are performing with Lightning Swords of Death, Wolves in the Throne Room and DJ Skot, starting at 10 PM. Tickets are $7.

• Mountain performs tonight at the Galaxy Theatre with Mama Hagglin, McKibben Band and English Motorbike. The show starts at 8 PM; tickets are $17.50.

• The New Beverly Cinema has a Deep Throat double feature, with the documentary Inside Deep Throat at 7:30 and 10:40 PM, followed by the film that started it all at 9:20 PM.
