'Mad Men' Crew Was Filming At LAX When Shooting Happened
In true L.A. fashion, an episode of the hit AMC series "Mad Men" was in the middle of filming when the shooting broke out in Terminal 3. Variety reports the show was filming in the American Airlines Terminal 4 when the incident went down. A key grip working for the show, Dustin Woods, broke the news via a series of now-deleted tweets.
"Police K-9 unit going through AA arrival terminal right now. Should be getting the all clear shortly," Woods tweeted. "We got the ok to leave but Police have not given the all clear."
The show is in the middle of filming its seventh and final season. Mad Men has always filmed quite a bit in Los Angeles, whether the scenes weresupposed to take place there or not. We expect to see a lot more of Los Angeles in the next season now that the firm at the center of the show has opened an outpost on the groovy West Coast. We even heard rumors of a Los Angeles spinoff. So it's no surprise to hear that the show is filming in LAX, which we're guessing will play itself.
