Kings Moves With the NHL trade deadline set for tomorrow at Noon PT, the Kings got to working. They traded for Buffalo Sabres defenseman Robyn Regehr on Monday, sending second-round draft picks in 2014 and 2015 in exchange. Regehr is from Brazil, the hot bed of hockey in the world. Kings also traded defenseman Davis Drewiske to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick this year. Dustin Penner goes on the injured reserve list for what is deemed a "lower body injury."
UCLA Hire UCLA formally presented Steve Alford as their new future former head coach of their men's basketball team. Here's the press conference in case you missed it. It should be noted that Alford got into the Sweet Sixteen only once: not with Iowa, not with New Mexico but with Southwest Missouri State back in 1999.
