Last Minute Saturday Partyin'

We're noticing a trend here as art and dance seem to come together more and more often downtown. Create:Fixate has its first show of 2005 tonight when The Optical Lounge and Audio Lab comes to the Spring Arts Tower at 453 S. Spring Street. The Gallery opens its doors at 4 PM and the party starts at 7 PM. General Admission is $10 but if you get there early (like before 7), you can get in for free.
If you're not into heading downtown, you can stop by GR2 and catch the opening of Saelee Oh's first solo art exhibition. She's a Pasadena based artist and we love her work. Her show runs through early March but why wait? There's never a better time to visit the Giant Robot store than right now.
Want to go to the movies this weekend but want to avoid the romantic comedy goodness of Will Smith in Hitch? Yeah,Mr. Smith's ideas about marriage has us scratching our heads, too, so we're going to go see Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior. What better to get our minds off of the Valentine's Day doldrums than elbows of fury?
