Another great week of comedy is upon us, as winter fades out and summer starts to crawl on in. Festivals are just around the corner, Zach Galifianakis killed it on SNL, and there's even another benefit show this week. You simply won't find any other place where you can get this much good comedy all in the same week. And if you know of any more, hit me up.

MONDAY 3/8

Free Kittens / Cream: Turtleneck Fight!, 6p UCB. Head over early for these back-to-back sketch comedy gems at UCB.

What’s Up, Tiger Lily?, 8p Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill. Nick Thune’s got a new CD out (Thick Noon), and you can also catch Blaine Capatch, Matt McCarthy and a bunch of great stand ups.

TUESDAY 3/9

Sponsored message

Buffet Shark, 8p Comedy Central Stage. A hot dish of sketch comedy from two good buds over at the CC Stage.

One Hour Improv Festival, 10:30p Andy Dick Black Box. Put your name in one hat, and there’s an improv form in another. Those chosen get up and rock The Bat, La Ronde, Deconstructions, Slackers... you name it.

WEDNESDAY 3/10

Orange County Comedy Lounge, 8p Irvine Improv. In the heart of red-state OC, you can see Darren Carter and a bunch of other stand ups. Good luck making it out alive.

APLA Benefit, 8p Hollywood Improv. Hal Sparks, KP Anderson, Orny Adams, and Alonzo Bodden join some other names for a night of stand up to benefit the AIDS Project of LA.

THURSDAY 3/11

Sad on Vacation, 8p Comedy Central Stage. The SOV guys used to be doctors, and now they do sketch comedy. That, in itself, is a reason to go. Also, it’s sketch comedy. By ex-doctors.

Represent! Comedy, 10p Hollywood Improv. What a great idea: get comics from a certain geographic area together, and put up a show! This time around it’s Chicago. featuring: Kyle Kinane, Matt Braunger, TJ Miller, Matt Dwyer and others.

FRIDAY 3/12

Skippy Greene’s Big Show, 8:30p Improv Comedy Lab. Some hilariously offensive character stand up over at the Comedy Lab.

Janeane Garofalo, 9p Largo. Janeane and some of her friends stop by for some stand up comedy.

SATURDAY 3/13

Tig Notaro / cast of Parks & Recreation, 9p Largo. I doubt Amy Poehler will be there, but there’s even odds Tig will give up some stage time to Aziz.

Dr. God, 10p iO West. Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini step in with the Dr. God guys to rock some awesome improv.

SUNDAY 3/14

Bobby Slayton, 7p Irvine Improv. While he certainly didn't go away, you can't deny that Bobby Slayton has experienced a bit of a resurgence with his Adam Carolla podcast sessions. Good for him.

Shitty Jobs, 11p UCB. Check back in with some of the best weekly improv you might have been missing.
