Getty Villa Reopens?

Perhaps those Getty Center signs promising that the old Getty Villa will reopen soon are coming true.
The J. Paul Getty Museum is looking for a Villa Transition Project Coordinator to assist in the renovation and reopening of the Getty Villa in Malibu. It's a short term gig, though. Get your resumes in soon.

Project Coordinator (Limited-Term), Villa Transition, The J. Paul Getty Museum
Requisition: 1463
Seeking a highly organized, responsible, and flexible individual to assist with the planning and implementation of a variety of short-term administrative projects associated with the renovation and reopening of the Getty Villa in Malibu for a one year, limited term. Working under the supervision of the Villa Transition Manager, will assist with activities including: creating and maintaining schedules for a wide range of activities; moving employees and collections to the site; developing and implementing operating procedures in collaboration with many functional areas in the organization; preparing for the public opening of the site; and documentation of the transition process. Will assist VTM w/ day-to-day organization of office, internal and external communication of all kinds, prioritizing work, organizing calendar and scheduling arrangements. Will help to prepare and track budgets, files reports, enters data into electronic accounting system, monitors budgets, maintains files and departmental master calendar. Ideal candidate will be resourceful and able to work independently on such projects as: coordinating meetings and tours, organizing VTM travel and events, drafting, compiling and tracking a wide variety of typewritten documents, and preparing reports. Regularly performs a variety of routine accounting, budget tracking, filing, photocopying, mailing and other clerical tasks.
Ability to multi-task and to work evenings and weekends. A minimum of 2-3 years coordination and/or administrative experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Must be proficient with Word and Excel; knowledge of Peoplesoft and Microsoft Project highly desireable.
