• The White Stripes perform at the Greek Theatre with The Greenhornes at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $45.

• Author Aimee Bender will present and sign her new book, Willful Creatures, at Book Soup tonight at 7 PM.

• Dinosaur Jr. are back, performing tonight at Avalon at 8 PM. Tickets are $27.

• The Silversun Pickups, Fly Better Broken, The Moon Upstairs and Sound Team are on stage tonight at Spaceland. Doors open at 9 PM.

• The White Stripes continue their week-long stay at the Greek Theatre, performing tonight with Autolux at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $45.

• AFI at ArcLight is screening Ridley Scott's scifi masterpiece Alien at 8 PM.

THURSDAY

• At the Knitting Factory, GZA, Prodigal Sunn, Icon the Mic King, Dosnous, Grit Mercenaries and Dumbfoundead with DJ's Geo & Ron Lee take the stage at 9 PM. Tickets are $17 advance, $20 at the door.
