The joke was apparently on late night host Jimmy Kimmel as Precious star Gabourey Sidibe showed up at his wedding in her own wedding dress.
The Daily Mail has pictures of Sidibe arriving in a white wedding gown at the ceremony in Ojai on Saturday, and later being embraced by Kimmel at the reception after she's changed into a red dress.
She possibly pranked Kimmel when "Here Comes the Bride" was played. Or she sat through the whole ceremony in the wedding dress. Who knows, since Splash News didn't manage to get pictures inside the ceremony itself.
Either way, Kimmel seemed to be a good sport about the stunt.
He released an official wedding photo (with the correct bride, Molly McNearney, the head writer on his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live) to People.
The couple have been together since October 2011 and got engaged last August while on vacation at the Kruger National Park in South Africa.
Other celeb guests, according to Us Weekly, included frequent guest Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Howard Stern, Emily Blunt John Krasinski, Kristen Bell, and Johnny Knoxville.
