"If you never did you should. These things are fun and fun is good" - Dr. Seuss, "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish"

Today would've been the 107th birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel (1904-1991), best known for his words of wisdom inked under the nom de plume Dr. Seuss. Creator of the Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Oh, the Places You'll Go and so many more, it's refreshing if not just for sentimental purposes to celebrate Seuss' birthday by recalling his great one-liners.

The National Education Association (NEA) has turned Seuss' birthday into something greater -- Read Across America, a program focusing on literacy and reading programs for youth.

Celebrate the good Doctor's birthday at any of these events taking place across L.A. today and through the weekend. Or just sit back and enjoy the clip below. What's your favorite Dr. Seuss quote?
