Lakers star Kobe Bryant finally bit the bullet and got himself a Twitter account. It's verified and everything!

And what does this Twitter newbie have to say? Well, he's one Tweet deep thus far:

@KobeBryant is sporting a bird as his profile pic, but this late bird has, not surprisingly, caught himself over 42,000 followers already. (It went up to over 60k in the few minutes since we wrote and published this.)
