College Football Listings Week 2
With the FYF Fest distracting my plans for the first college football Saturday, I’m diving head first into this week’s slate of games. So there is no Michigan-Alabama this week. Wasn't that a shit-show anyhow?
While talking to several people about the college schedule this week, they noted that I'm a complete Pac-12 homer. With all of the hype devoted to the SEC, sure I will talk up Pac-12 football since I live out here on the West Coast.
Let's face it: a middle-of-the-road Pac-12 conference game is much more entertaining than a middle-of-the-road SEC game. A 31-27 Washington victory over Oregon State is much better to watch than a 3-2 Auburn win over Ole Miss.
I'm not saying the top of the Pac-12 has been better than the top of the SEC. I'm just saying when you start heading down to the cellar, the Pac-12 is a lot more liveable than the SEC.
Which brings us to the Washington-LSU game. I'm really curious to see this Washington team. They're most likely going to lose in Death Valley, but how well they keep it together will probably dictate how much they challenge Oregon in the Pac-12 North division.
However, the most interesting game is a battle between new conference-mates: Florida and Texas A&M. Florida isn't the powerhouse that Urban Meyer left a couple of seasons ago. And Texas A&M perhaps built to handle the SEC more than Missouri who also fled to the SEC from the Big 12 this season.
Well I'm going to complete vegetate in front of the television to gawk at all of this.
