Here's the Balanchine version so you can talk about how the classic version was sooooo much better (Note: we haven't seen the Eifman choreography, just teasing). The Eifman Ballet comes to town (well, the OC) from St. Petersburg to put on a production of Don Quixote at OCPAC. Eifman is known as an innovative choreographer so you're sure to see some "new twists" to this classic ballet. There are performances this week on Tuesday the 26th at 7:30 PM, Thursday the 28th at 7:30 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sunday at 2 PM.

If you can't make it out to the OC, LA Phil principal cellist Peter Stumpf is performing the fiendishly difficult Sinfonia Concertante, written by Sergei Prokofiev (which should be more exciting than his already exciting Shostakovich performance). Performances on Friday and Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 2 PM.
