The pre-show party for the Buddy Society event was a blast, introducing us to a beautiful old building in a part of LA we've not yet explored. The boutique had a little something for everyone - teddy bear-adorned denim, event t-shirts, albums, pins, and more - and the opening DJ (Hyasynth) set kept the mood relaxed and intimate. The promoters for the night, including the lovely Ms. Valen, were friendly and gracious (despite the fact that they were running a bit behind on set times), and we were saddened to have to sneak out at 9:30 pm for another engagement, missing Diva Dompé. We're sure it was only on the upswing after; as we left the crowd was beginning to pack the spacious venue.
