Friday night Pawshop Gallery is presenting the solo show of Justin Hansch with Surfing and Art are the Same; They’re Both Cool.
The Van Nuys native, who is the owner of JMOCA (Justin’s Museum of Contemporary Art) a gallery out of his own LA home, will debut several paintings & sculpture exploring the relationship of language as a perpetrator of conflict between reality and the actual act of painting. - thru June 29th

The spirit and imagination of Steinbeck is captured in Twilight of Mice and Men, an exhibit of exquisite paintings by Angela Dufresne at the Kinkead Gallery in Culver City.
Humanities hardships, and frailties are explored in these romantic paintings in Dufresne’s first exhibit in LA since debuting at Hammer Projects in 2006. - thru July 5th

Kinsey/DesForges is happily presenting Bedtime Stories, new paintings by NoCal artist Tiffany Bozic.
The stained maple panels, celebrate “life’s hardships and achievements”, based on her observations while studying in San Fransisco.
This exhibit marks her third solo show with the gallery formerly known as BLK/MRKT. – thru June 28th

Saturday also marks the revival of Live Draw!, the live-drawing event in which artists draw nudes on the spot in various styles to a DJ provided soundtrack.
Described as a “twist on performance art”, viewers can purchase works right off the pad, while enjoying wine, and yummy tapas. This years artists include David Schoffman, Katina Zinner, Bogdan Dumitrica, Alejandro Gehry, Lynn Hanson, Gus Harper, Barry Markowitz and Fausin Mdisa.
Tickets are required for this event. – 7-10pm - $45/advance or $55/door
