Think the only way you can get someone to show up at your house and take gorgeous pictures of you is to a) be Courtney Cox or b) own an architectural landmark? Not so.
Artist Jenn Kolmel is doing a project called "Familiar," where for free -- free! -- she shows up at your domicile, takes a bunch of beautiful medium-format photos of you in your home environs, then gives you them on CD with info about labs where you can print the photo(s) of your choice.
Finally you'll give your mom and/or boyfriend a Christmas present that'll make 'em happy.
There's a good chance your photo will end up in Jenn's show in February -- if so, you'll get an 11x14 print or two as well. Which is obviously too late for Christmas. But there's always Valentine's... and Mothers' Day...
