Elizabeth Taylor to be Buried Today at Forest Lawn

Elizabeth Taylor will be laid to rest today at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, near her good friend Michael Jackson. The Daily News reports that Forest Lawn officials were informed of the decision to bury Taylor there this morning, and preparations have been made throughout the day.

Glendale police will be present to ensure that everything goes smoothly, and Sgt. Tom Lorenz was quoted in the Daily News saying that the department is well-prepared to deal with crowds and issues that arise with a funeral like Taylor's:

"The Glendale Police Department and Forest Lawn have a great relationship and as you know, in past ceremonies and services we've had here at Forest Lawn, we've been very well prepared...I think the most recent ones were the anniversary and the services for Michael Jackson -- we've been able to deal with it in the past. We're going to be able to deal with it again. We're ready to roll."

Media and fans have already begun to descend on the cemetery in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the service, which will be open to family and friends only.
