A robbery at a taco stand in Cypress Park ended in gunfire, but it wasn't the suspected thieves who were doing the shooting.

The incident took place at around 11:30 Thursday night at the King Taco on Cypress Avenue, when two males hit up the taco stand demanding cash, according to Sgt. Wayne Guillary of the Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast Station, reports City News Service.

When the robbers fled the scene, a security guard fired off two shots into the air, which got him in trouble with the cops, and didn't do a darn thing to stop the robbers, who successfully made off with the money.

No one was hit by the bullets.
