Clerk Fatally Shot During Robbery Attempt At Los Feliz Gas Station

Police are still searching for an gunman who fatally shot a clerk as a gas station in Los Feliz early Tuesday morning.

The incident happened at about 5:25 a.m. this morning at the Chevron station located at Vermont Avenue and Los Feliz Boulevard, KTLA reports. The gunman was attempting to rob the station and shot the clerk multiple times. The clerk was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The LAPD tells LAist that the victim was a 25-year-old man. His identity has not been released pending family notification.

The gunman fled in a car, and is still at large. He has been described as a black man between 20 and 25 years old.
