Quicker than you could say "wtf", Britney Spears had shorn her dirty locks and local entrepreneurs had scooped it up, bagged it, tagged it, and listed it on eBay.
Currently there are dozens of eBay listings claiming to have some of the pop star's hair for sale and this one (which also provides an email address to a lawyer who will discuss any legal questions) explained how they got the infamous booty:
Britney showed up at the salon, and told the stylist to give her the works! However, the stylist, Esther Tognozzi, at Esther’s Haircutting Studio decided not to risk a lawsuit by destroying the Pop Icon's image. So Britney “grabbed the buzzer and started buzzing her own hair off. ... I just cleaned it up when she was done with it,” according to Tognozzi. So all that hair was in a pile on the floor, and I tell you, we were all in a frenzy. I grabbed some hair, and she grabbed some hair, and he grabbed some hair and we all ran off to our computers and sell them on eBay!!!
Afterwords, Britney got two tatoos at a nearby parlor, but I can't auction off the needles that they used. - etrywesd
