Officials and community members are asking for the public's help in finding a 19-year-old woman who went missing after a New Year's Eve party, reports City News Service.

Sarah Alarid was last seen leaving the party on Poppy Meadow Street in the Shadow Pines area of Canyon Country around 3 a.m. on January 1, in a 2002 silver Ford Focus with the license plate number 4WXE747. Witnesses say that before she left, she was seen arguing with her boyfriend.

Alarid's parents and family friends say that it isn't like her to not be in touch with them and let them know her whereabouts.

"She's always called, we've always known where she's at,'' said her father Mike Alarid, a 30-year veteran firefighter.
