1 Killed In Fiery Mid-City Crash On 10 Freeway

One person was killed early this morning in a crash on the eastbound side of the 10 Freeway at La Brea Avenue.

The crash at 3:44 a.m. involved three cars, one of which burst into flames, according to City News Service. The driver of one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene. Another driver was treated at the scene and another was hospitalized.

The crash prompted all the eastbound lanes to be shut down, snarling the early morning commute. Traffic was rerouted through the La Brea collector, a single lane that allows drivers to continue on the 10 freeway or exit, according to KTLA. The lanes were reopened one by one. By 7 a.m., all of them were open.
