Photos: Check Out All The Old School Trains From The Union Station Summer Train Fest
On Saturday afternoon, Union Station hosted a time-traveling afternoon with vintage train cars, engines, and other transportation paraphernalia on display. The festival featured an old steam locomotive from 1927, a sleeper car from 1956, a club car from 1949, and more. The Los Angeles Model Railroad Society and Pasadena Model Railroad Club were on hand to provide insight and tutorials to guests of the event. Local vendors like Skylight Books and Train Shack were present as well, selling train-themed merchandise and books as well as offering train safety tutorials.
Check out photos from the event and go back to a time when train travel was the glamorous choice.
