Why now: These maps are preliminary and will be updated daily as more areas are inspected, according to L.A. County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone.

Eaton Fire
More than 8,600 structures were lost in the Eaton Fire. Officials said about 70% of damage inspections have been completed as of Thursday afternoon.
