My background
I’ve worked on LAist podcasts including Nobody Knows Anything, How To LA, The Academy Museum Podcast (seasons 1 and 2), Retake and Hollywood the Sequel. I got my start at LAist on the broadcast side, as a producer on Take Two, The Frame and newscasts. Before coming to LAist, I was a fill-in producer for NPR shows like Talk of the Nation and Morning Edition. I got my start in public radio producing radio documentaries for America Abroad Media.
My goals
I want to pull back the curtain on the creative processes of super-talented people who work in film, TV, comedy, music, theater, literature and visual art — and share interesting L.A. stories that hopefully include some element of fun.

New data out Thursday on firearms sales in California shows that there was a record increase in the number of handguns legally sold in the state in 2020. From 2019 to 2020 there was a 65.5 percent increase in handgun sales and a 45.9 percent increase in long gun sales, according to the office of state Attorney General Rob Bonta.

As wildfires get bigger, stronger and more frequent on the West Coast, experts are calling for more ways to prevent them — by focusing on prescribed fires. Researchers at UC San Diego are currently developing a new tool, using artificial intelligence and data science, to make it easier to plan and carry out controlled burns.
