A shooting yesterday in Lake View Terrace has left a parole officer hospitalized in "serious but stable condition," according to City News Service. The suspect is 43-year-old Steven Hoff, reports the L.A. Times, a parolee who allegedly shot at the law enforcement officers who were out looking for him Wednesday afternoon.

Chef Ludo Lefebvre and the LudoBites team have just announced their 8th pop-up, and it's happening January and February, this time on the westside. LudoBites 8 will run Jan. 18-20; Jan. 23-27; Jan 30-31 & Feb. 1-3; Feb. 6-10; Feb. 13-15 & 17; and Feb. 20-22, and will be at Lemon Moon.

This could be great news for Los Angeles, or double the hurt: Dunkin' Donuts has (re)announced they plan to double their U.S. locations over the next two decades. But whether any of those locations will be in Dunkin' Donuts-denied Los Angeles remains to be seen.
