Wandering home after a Tuesday night of philandering we happened upon this tearful sight -- what appeared to be a Bentley in a fender-bender with a minivan. It's not often that such cars are involved in a traffic collision, so when it does happen it is somewhat of a spectacle. We were expecting to see rubberneckers up and down the block emerge, without shoes even (fuck shoes!), but this was not the case. It...

We spent the past week in NYC gallivanting around on the subway system, gleefully reaching each destination in a timely manner and with minimal walking distance. Yes, we do ride the Red Line occasionally, however we would ride the Metro subway more often if it provided better access to all parts of the city. We recently covered a citizens' initiative to further develop the LA subway system (Get LA Moving), but the ongoing political...

Local police tried to talk the would-be jumper down from the Freeway 14 overpass for 3 hours earlier today. The unidentified man arrived at the Santa Clarita interchange shortly after 11am and began pacing around as if he was going to jump. Traffic was held up for hours as authorities tried to reason with him. He eventually jumped after 3 hours of discussion (at 2pm) and died. One witness that LAist spoke to witnessed...

USAC Elections Online USAC elections for UCLA student government are underway. Voting ends tomorrow at midnight so everyone should make sure to cast their e-ballots ASAP. Major issues this year include impeding tuition fee increases, student rights (ie the taser incident), preserving and improving the Undie Run, and advocating campus spirit. On-Campus UCLA Pub Approved The UCLA Board of Directors approved the installment of an on-campus eatery that features alcohol last Friday, appropriating part...

Dear Carlos, You always like to state in your show that you are "not a racist" because you "make fun of everybody". You spend most of your energy making highly derogatory comments about Mexicans, Muslims and Asians, then sprinkle it with modest cracks directed at the white population. Even if you did truly direct your hatred equally, your jokes would still be overtly racist -- and its not because you routinely target minorities using...
