Masala is an amazing and loving dog that is searching for a new home. She is currently at the Villalobos Rescue Center. She loves people, but would prefer to be the only pet in the household. Explorer is a big boned cat full of affection and endless purrs. He's got a bit of a cold, but Felines & Friends will provide medications while he is in foster care.

Today's adoptable pets are from Ace of Hearts, an organization that rescues from the city's shelters. Ace of Hearts rescues ALL breeds and doesn't discriminate. Hurray! Meet Bulldog babes, Caroline and Marley, a pair of 2 year old bonded English Bulldogs and Penelope, a sweet but timid Tabby. These pets need a loving home!

This week's pets are Truf and Swiss. Truf is a 1 year old Pit/Mastiff mix who is fun, loving, silly, outgoing, goofy, and super friendly to everyone he meets. Swiss is a 3 month old black and white kitty who is playful and adorable. Truf is available for adoption through the rescue group, New Leash On Life. Swiss is available for adoption at the East Valley Animal Shelter in Van Nuys.

Meet Poppy and Penny, Orange Tabby female siblings who are approximately 8 months old. They were found cowering near a water heater during the rainy season in San Fernando. The lucky sisters were scooped up by a nice lady and brought to Purrrfect Solutions Feline Rescue for shelter and TLC. Poppy and Penny greet new visitors and love receiving pets and attention. They enjoy playing and climbing, too. These little lions have mighty purrs!

Cody the kitten and Penelope the seven year old Beagle are the LAist Pets of the Week! They are currently looking for a new home and being cared for Santé D'Or, a donor-supported, no-kill animal rescue that provides holistic care and sanctuary to animals.
