Pets Of The Week: Orange Tabby Siblings 'Penny & Poppy'
Meet Poppy and Penny, Orange Tabby female siblings who are approximately 8 months old. They were found cowering near a water heater during the rainy season in San Fernando. The lucky sisters were scooped up by a nice lady and brought to Purrfect Solutions Feline Rescue for shelter and TLC.
Due to their precarious situation early on, the little ladies arrived in a “hissy and spitty” state. The volunteers at Purrrfect Solutions worked for months to socialize Poppy and Penny and now they greet new visitors and love receiving pets and attention. They enjoy playing and climbing, too. These little lions have mighty purrs!

Poppy and Penny get along well with the other felines at the rescue. They would be fine in a home with other cats, but would prefer to be in an adult home.Penny came to Purrrfect Solutions with a damaged eye that was removed. She has completely recovered. Having just one eye has not slowed her down a bit. She is very brave and loves to chase anything that moves. She has the heart of a lion!
These two sisters have been tested, fixed, and microchipped. They adore each other and are ready for a loving home. These two little lions could be the perfect match for you! Take a look at this video of Penny and Poppy, rockin' to "Eye of the Tiger."

At LAist, we believe in journalism without censorship and the right of a free press to speak truth to those in power. Our hard-hitting watchdog reporting on local government, climate, and the ongoing housing and homelessness crisis is trustworthy, independent and freely accessible to everyone thanks to the support of readers like you.
But the game has changed: Congress voted to eliminate funding for public media across the country. Here at LAist that means a loss of $1.7 million in our budget every year. We want to assure you that despite growing threats to free press and free speech, LAist will remain a voice you know and trust. Speaking frankly, the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news in our community.
We’re asking you to stand up for independent reporting that will not be silenced. With more individuals like you supporting this public service, we can continue to provide essential coverage for Southern Californians that you can’t find anywhere else. Become a monthly member today to help sustain this mission.
Thank you for your generous support and belief in the value of independent news.
