Grandma's Boyfriend Moved Out And Vanished The Day After She Disappeared Last Month
The day after a Los Angeles woman mysteriously vanished, her boyfriend was seen moving out of his apartment. Now he's also missing, and police are searching for two unknown people who were seen removing items from his apartment days later. Zakiyyah El A'min, 60, has been missing since the afternoon of March 23, according to a release from the LAPD. She was last seen around 1 p.m. at the New Terminal Hotel at 901 E 7th St. in downtown Los Angeles with her boyfriend, 48-year-old Kevin Walker Jones, who is also missing, KTLA reports. She was reported missing after she failed to show up for work the next day, and she has not used her cell phone or bank account since.
Jones was last seen moving out of his apartment in the early morning of March 24. Police believe Jones may have headed to Buffalo, New York, and say that Jones has a history of assault and domestic violence. El A'min's daughter, Aqueelah Dixon, said El A'min and Jones had been dating off and on for about 11 years, but that their relationship was complicated.
On March 28, an unknown man and woman were caught via surveillance footage taking items from Jones' apartment. Police would like to question the pair to see what they might know.
El A'min is black, 60 years old, 4'11" and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Jones is black, 48 years old, 6" and 200 pounds, with a shaved head and brown eyes.
