At around 6:05 this morning, a female pedestrian thought to be in her 40s or 50s, was struck by a Metro Blue Line train in Watts, according to the LAFD's emailed reports. "The incident happened near the 103rd Street station, which was closed for hours as the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigated the crash," notes ABC7. The victim, whose name has not been released, was initially reported as being in critical condition and transported to hospital for treatment, however the Daily News reports she "died on the tracks" this morning.
