Woman Accused of Chopping Off Husband's Penis to Appear in Court Today

The Garden Grove woman arrested yesterday for allegedly chopping off her husband's penis and then grinding it up in the garbage disposal is scheduled to appear in court today, reports USA Today. Authorities say that Catherine Kieu Becker, 48, put drugs in her husband's food, and when he awoke, she produced a 10-inch knife that she then used to remove his member. She later told police that her husband deserved it.
The couple, who were planning a divorce, had only been married since December.
Becker is expected to be charged with a number of counts, including aggravated mayhem, assault with a deadly weapon and spousal abuse, notes USA Today. Her bail was set at $1 million. Her husband is in good condition at a local hospital (we can assume that means, as good as possible, given the situation).
