After five years, the Wilshire Grand—downtown Los Angeles' the West Coast's tallest skyscraper—has finally opened, and the views seem to as amazing as we'd hoped. And being the tallest (1,100 feet from base to spire tip) in a landscape of buildings that average shorter than a palm tree (maybe not literally, but you get what we're saying) definitely has its perks.

While the Wilshire Grand offers splendid views all around, one of the best comes from an unexpected location: the men's room in the sky lobby.

"Each restroom has a unique feature," a representative for the Wilshire Grand told LAist, before describing the trough-style urinal. "This is the urinal for the men's room on floor 70. It has a waterfall-like feature that flushes the waste."

So, what about the women's restroom? How does the other half relieve itself?

"I don't have any pics of the women's restroom on that same floor, as it wasn't very interesting," Katie Wiggins, who visited the tower, told LAist. Well, so much for that. Here's a photo for reference:

Also on floor 70?

"That floor is the main hotel lobby floor, so when you first walk off the elevator you are greeted by the hotel staff behind the desks," Adam Linder, who also toured the tower after its opening, told LAist. "You can take a left and enter into the bar area with wrap around views of the Arts District and South L.A. Or you can turn right to head into these bathrooms or see the view of Hollywood. On that right side, as well, is the elevator that can bring you up to 71-73."Also of note: there's a rooftop bar on floor 73 (called Spire73) that is the "tallest open-air bar" in the western hemisphere, notes Eater LA. We're sure you'll enjoy the views up there—just, you know, find your bathroom first.

Here's that view one more time for good measure:
