Wednesday Gossip Post, Britney Edition!!

Britney Spears has been having a bad week. I thought it was bad a couple weeks ago when she had a hit and run, bombed at the VMA's and had her lawyer drop her. That was actually sunshine and roses compared to this week...
It all started this week when it was alerted to the authorities that Brit was driving without a California license, and had in fact never had one. Us Weekly is reporting, however, that her application was approved for a new one and she is now officially a licensed California driver. Maybe this is here first baby step in getting things back on track - US Weekly

Now that Sean Preston and Jayden James have been handed over to the care of Kevin Federline, Britney's family is fearing she will do something drastic. They have been pleading with her to come home to Kentwood, LA to no avail and are worried they will turn on the TV and see that "she is dead" her Aunt tells The Sun - The Sun
And of course, no week full of trainwrecks can be complete without a sex tape scandal. Rumors are that a drunken one night stand of Britney's taped her unknowingly and is only holding out on releasing the tape because he is embarrassed of his own performance - Yeeeah!
At least the boys are ok! I used to think they weren't so cute, but as Sarah Silverman says they really are two adorable mistakes - TMZ

Its here! The video she shot months ago, and had to re-shoot because of a few on set debacles will be making its MTV debut in the next week for Gimme More - PerezHilton
As Britney left the Peninsula Hotel last night to pick up a random male friend, or maybe just a random male?, we learned that her song that she disastrously performed at the VMA's, Gimme More, is #3 on the Billboard Top 100 charts - DListed

LAist has been there for you and we’re asking you to be here for us.
We rely on donations from readers like you to stay independent, which keeps our nonprofit newsroom strong and accountable to you.
