To the Woman in the Checkout Line...
How many times does this have to happen before someone--like me--snaps?
In line at the local Albertson's ready to check out; the woman ahead of me is, of course, on her cell phone. Despite the numerous glares and glances from the checker and the five people in line, she continues--undaunted, unaware. Then out with a laugh comes the line (while struggling with the credit card terminal, cradling the phone in her ear): "Maybe I shouldn't be on the phone while doing this." Hmmm. Ya think?
Just in case you didn't here me mumble this the first time, I'll say it a little more clearly: Get the f*^k off the phone!
Now I feel a little better. I guess should look on the bright side--at least she wasn't paying by check.
