Teacher Arrested After Former Student Claims They Had A 4-Year Affair
A teacher at Valencia High School is accused of carrying on a four-year affair with an underaged female student. Rebecca Eileen Diebolt, 35, was arrested in Orange County, ABC7 reports, on suspicion of oral copulation and sexual penetration with a person under the age of 18.
The victim told police that the relationship began in 2004 when Diebolt was her Language Arts teacher and her water polo coach. She alleges that they had numerous sexual encounters after school and on weekends in Diebolt's home and classroom, and that the relationship continued until 2008, after the victim had turned 18 and was attending college.
Investigators are now trying to determine whether or not there were other victims.
