Scrubs Green Fair Tomorrow Afternoon
If you saw last night's Dallas - Philly game during "Football Night in America" you saw NBC dim the studio lights of the Costas set because it would allegedly save enough electricity to power the homes of 1,000 American households for a year or some nonsense.
If only they would do us all a favor and cut Costas' mic. Some of us would live in the dark for a week if such a deal could be arranged.
Anyways the good people of NBC/Universal seem to be serious about making an environmental difference what with their 150 hours of green programming, and the nice kids over at Scrubs, sent us over this email and invite:
On Tuesday, November 6th, we are holding the first ever (and maybe last, as this should be our final year and who knows what's going on with the Writer's Strike) Scrubs Green Fair, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Scrubs Park directly west of our hospital. Scrubs Park is on the northwest corner of Riverside Drive and La Maida, in Valley Village, CA, 91607.
We are tying the Green Fair in with NBC's "Green is Universal" week, where NBC shows have an environmentally based theme...our show airs on November 8th. Our purpose is to show that little decisions can have big results, and will be showcasing environmentally friendly vendors (solar, bamboo, electric cars and bikes, etc.), organic and fair trade products (Juice Beauty, Castor & Pollux Pet Works, Pamela's Products, Guayaki, etc.), and organizations (The Climate Project, TreePeople, Surfrider, etc.). We also have raffles and give-aways planned, like reusable grocery bags and water filters, plus food and drinks. Everything, including the raffles, will be free to all attendees. And for any Scrubs fans, we are also giving free set tours of the Scrubs hospital (we are a normally a closed set). I have attached the Green Fair flyer we have been passing out. Because we shoot in a residential area, we have invited our neighbors, and our cast and crew will be attending as well.
