Got Guns? Prefer Gift Cards? Make the Trade On Saturday

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the LAPD, and faith-based community organizations are teaming up for the second time to run a citywide Gun Buyback on Saturday. As part of efforts to reduce gun violence in our communities, individuals who voluntarily surrender their firearms will be rewarded with gift cards from either Visa or Ralphs grocery store. Giving up your handgun gets you a $100 card, while your assault weapon will get you a $200 card. Not sure which gun you have? "The LAPD Gun Unit will be on site to determine the type of classification on the firearm surrendered."
Oh, but make sure you get your trade-in weapon to the exchange location safely. Your guns need to be brought in unloaded, and in the trunk of your car. We've got the addresses of the 5 exchange locations after the jump.
