* * *Every Saturday, LAist will feature an adoptable cat and dog from a different local shelter or accredited 501c3 rescue organization. Take a look at these furry bundles and consider giving them a home, or forward their faces to friends who may be interested. * * *

This week’s pets are from the Bill Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues primarily dogs and sometimes cats from the Los Angeles City Shelter System and places them into loving homes. The Bill Foundation is a tribute to Bill, a rescued Golden/Lab who succumbed to cancer in August 1998. Bill Foundation founders, Jo and Peter Forman, chose to focus their grief into a positive channel by saving the shelter pets in peril.

Meet Webster, a one year-old Wheaten/Bearded Collie Mix. Webster is a very good boy with lots of personality and as handsome as can be. He is 1000% adorable! He is playful, loving, and very curious. Webster is house-trained, knows "sit," "stay,” and walks well on a leash. He gets along well with other dogs, cats, and humans.

Webster will be at the Bill Foundation adoption event from 11am-3pm this Sunday May 29th, along with many other adoptable dogs at the Healthy Spot Pet Supply store. The Bill Foundation holds adoption events at Healthy Spot every other Sunday.

This is Jessie Pearl or JP for short, a spayed 1 1/2 year old gray and white domestic short hair kitty. She showed up on the doorstep of the Foundation's founder’s family home in Georgia on a freezing cold January night. She is quite the cat - bright, funny, affectionate, playful, SUPER dog friendly, and a total purr-machine! She tolerates other cats, even befriending some, but she might prefer being the only feline in the household. Jessie has very soft fur, loves to cuddle and enjoys watching TV with her family. JP needs a home where her human companions are not away for extended periods of time.

If you would like to meet Jessie Pearl, please complete the online Cat Adoption Application. If it is a good match, JP will meet you at the Healthy Spot Adoption event!
