A business executive in Newport Beach has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife, whose body has still not been found.

Peter Chadwick is being accused of murdering his wife Quee "QC" Chadwick, 46. He was arrested yesterday morning in San Diego after he called police from the 905 freeway asking for help (for some reason that authorities would not divulge), according to City News Service.

Neighbors reported that Chadwick and his wife were missing from their million-dollar home inside a gated community after their kids had not been picked up from school on Wednesday, according to the Orange County Register. Police responded and found evidence that there had been some sort of "foul play" in the home.

Chadwick is now being held on $1.5 million in a jail in Newport Beach. Police are trying to retrace his steps from Wednesday and Thursday in the hopes of finding his wife's body, according to CNS. They're releasing few other details about the case.

Chadwick was a business executive, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Anyone with information was asked to call Newport Beach police at (800) 550-NBPD or Detective Bryan Moore at (949) 644-3764.
