Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is heading to Beverly Hills this evening.

Like most presidential candidates who come through town, he's looking for campaign money not votes. He is scheduled to speak to a fundraiser at a luxury hotel near Del Mar owned by San Diego newspaper publisher Doug Manchester right about now. Afterward, he'll be heading up to Beverly Hills for a 5 pm fundraiser at the Hilton, according to City News Service.

Any other details about Romney's Beverly Hills trip are hard to come by at this time. CNS said the campaign hasn't responded to requests for information. The Beverly Hills police said that on the one hand, they will help reporters cover the fundraiser, but on the other hand they wouldn't release any details about the event to CNS.

Los Angeles Democratic Party chairman, Eric Bauman, and volunteers for Obama volunteers planned a rally "to welcome Mitt Romney" at 3 pm across the street from the Hilton, CNS reported. Romney received a similar welcome at the San Diego airport.
