Man Sitting, Smoking Cigarettes on Roof After Evading Police
As we speak, a man is sitting on a rooftop in West Los Angeles chilling and smoking cigarettes, walking around, and ultimately evading police.
NBC Los Angeles reports that the current stand-off began after officials initiated a car chase, since the man was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle. He then reportedly got out of the car, climbed onto a roof in the 800 block of Malcolm Avenue, jumped to another roof, and is now stationed up there in what sounds like, aside from the whole "police-waiting-for-him-on-the-ground" thing, a pretty relaxing Thursday morning.
More than a dozen police cars are now on the scene, and officers have erected a ladder going up to the roof.
