Magic Castle Will be Closed Tonight Following Fire
Following a fire this afternoon, Magic Castle will be closed for Halloween, reports L.A. Now.
The fire broke out around lunchtime, and was quickly attended to by about 120 firefighters. It was doused by 1:34 p.m., but apparently had done enough damage to warrant the shuttering of tonight's festivities. Just hours before the blaze, staff at the venue tweeted "Happy Halloween to all our members and friends! We're looking forward to seeing many of you tonight!"
In response to the closure, the Comedy Store sent Magic Castle a twitter invitation to move their Halloween celebrations over to the Sunset Blvd. location. No response yet from Magic Castle, which has instructed loyal followers to stay up to date on their reopening on their website and social media feeds.
